Hawks DBW Pedal Adapter

Anybody used one of these on their swaps? I just got mine mounted up and am wondering what hawk's intentions are for the upper mounting hole where the throttle cable used to go through the firewall. I know obvious solution is to bolt it, but the opening is pretty large and would require a pretty big washer.

Re: Hawks DBW Pedal Adapter

I made my own pedal pedestal.
I went to my local Ace Hardware store and got 2 neoprene washers along with two regular washers and bolted them. The neoprene holds up well to heat and the elements and weather seals the opening. Works perfectly.
I did not want to permanently seal it up, as there might be a future use for wiring into the cabin - who knows?
