DBW Pedal Bracket & Placement
Having trouble with the DBW pedal mounting. Haven't seen any pics to date - anyone have any?
Here is a pic of the mounting studs for the OEM cable pedal. I have a flat piece of metal over the studs, just to make sure I can get it flat. However, the studs are at an odd angle. Has anyone re-used the studs or cut/grind off. I tried to mock up a tin piece.
Not sure how to get the angle right and to maintain full travel of the GTO pedal (no TAC module with '06).
Nothing seems to work out. Any suggestions?

see posts 112 - 114 in my LS3 swap thread on how i mounted mine. i built my own interface bracket using the existing pedal studs as well as bolting it to the steering column support... it is very sturdy

Here is my pedal. It is flat mounted - yours appears that you have mounting bolts on the side.

thanks, yes mine is on the side, but you could essentially still do something very similar and it would probably be easier even as you only really need a flat in the back that you bolt the pedal then to and could make the appropriate tab to connect up to the steering support for example.

Today I followed Alan's example. Cut a piece and drilled two holes. I had a remnant tube from the Trak Pak crossmember and I used that to attach between the two stud bolt holes. Then attached a straight piece to that tube.

Re: DBW Pedal Bracket & Placement
Here I have the bracket in place and the pedal up against the flat piece. Will have to clean it up a little and some minor shimming. The metal rod does not come in contact with anything - no where near. The pedal itself MAY be hitting on the bottom, but it swivels on the rod so full WOT is not a problem. I'm still not sure if the pedal will bottom on the bottom - it's close and the carpet is still loose, and shimming yet to do.

good job, the nice thing is since you made it yourself, you can clearly make any adjustments necessary as your mounting plate is metal and you have a grinder and a welder!
