86 firebird ls swap and original trans/driveshaft short
i have a 5.3 lm7 using original 700r4 and drive shaft,.i purchased k frame mounts and engine motor mounts off n said it placed ls motor in factory position of the original 305.Issue is that now the driveshaft is one inch short.
i see that umi has k frame mounts that allow for and aft and up to moving the motor 1 inch back. What have others used or done.
Respectfully

The UMI 2406-B motor mounts worked perfect for me.There is other holes in the stock k frame that i used one of them for the back bolt hole. Also it allowed me to get correct driveshaft fit and use the stock 700r4 and trans cross-member.I also used the same mounts attached to the motor pictured above.

The UMI ones have a lot of adjustment to get the engine for and aft in the stock k member. I have a new set for sale if interested. PM for details.
