Hey Guys,
I'm newer to working on cars and recently bought an ls swapped 84 Camaro for the drivetrain, it needed an exhaust and a few things put back on, after which though it didn't start and I found there wasn't any spark or injector pulse after going through the internet for a while and messing with a test light I'm just confused and I hope someone her can help me. The wiring seems pretty rough and so far I've only found one ground, I would appreciate any advice or suggestions for what to look for or at.
Thanks for the advice,
I found grounds on the back left and front right of the heads but the ecm seems to just be sitting in place with the closest ground down the harness on the front of the drivers side head, should there be a closer ground?
Many of the aftermarket harnesses have a ground to body near the ecm. another way to test is to physically put a wire from the body to case of the ecm.
Tried grounding the ecm case to the body but it didn't seem to do anything, also I'm fairly sure it's a stock Silverado harness that's been chopped up.
