Giving my 96 LT1 form a Roadmaster a freshen up, and taking pics of EVERYTHING I do to help out TexasLT1's swapper guide, small change of plans potentially it will be installed into an 88IROC Vert if the deal goes well instead of my current now for sale 85 Z.

but which ever car I have count me in for having it be LT1 enabled.

Does an Early LT1 qualify? Mine is from a '70 vette. It's carbed for now but soon to get a Holley StealthRam MPFI and a Holley 950 programable ECM. Putting in a T56 before I install the 12 bolt disc brake posi.....if this thing hooks up with this much HP my T5 will scatter all over the road. My ported AFR 190s w/ 64cc chambers came off a car that ran mid 10s. MY *** this motor runs like a beast!

ATI D-1sc to come in '03

Ummmmmmmm...Fuel delivery problems above 4700 RPM are caused by intake runner length not injector size acording to Holley. That is why I'm going with a StealthRam set up..it makes power up to 5500 to 6000 RPM. check out Holley's web site for more info.

No emissions equipment working....gotta fix that soon!

Driveshaft in dire need of rebalancing/replacement after the HELP! company *%(&* my car over bad with mis-manufactured U-Joint Straps....I learned the hard way that GM still makes them, and many dealers still stock them

Drivers Side Door needs to be re-hung, but I am waiting for the money to get the aftermarket replacement....It crunched the quarter panel so it looks like hell

Rear Spoiler is collapsed

***** Drivers Seat.....good 'ol Pep Boys A3 seat since mine was dead, and the cheapest good thirdgen replacement was $150 + shipping + time, where I got the ***** seat, welded togather a mounting bracket, and got to drive my car that day....oh the shame of it all!

MSD 6a ignition + Blaster SS coil.....except, I need the LT1 adapter for the coil so the whole ignition system isn't in the car!

All wiring done by a Computer Science Major and it shows....hey I was in a hurry! I will post some pics when the digi-cam becomes available again!

I came back here today to get the diagram of the PCM which I know is posted here since I am FINALLY going to wire my MAF and EGR properly....the AIR system will still be out for a while though...

Well were pretty much done with the swap. I would like to be on the list now.

1988 Chevy Camaro 2.8 v6 with 700r4 Transmission

Is now:

1988 Chevy Camaro LT1 Carbed with a th350

Engine:
Came from a 94 Caprice police car-changed the cam, roller rockers, springs, and retainers. All Comp Cams

All MSD ignition (Probillet Dist. 6a box and blast II coil)

My husband ported and cleaned up my heads

Transmission

2400-2800 Stall
Complete rebuild kit from Transgo

We were trying to run a Holley carb but the car will not idle so Im using a q-jet

CSI Electric water pump, Hedman headers with y-pipe and 95 z28 muffler with exhaust tips. Taylor plug wires with NGK spark plugs.

Little bit more fine turning and she will be kicking butt.

Hi everyone. As you can probably see, I have been a member for a while but never used this site. I wandered back over here yesterday and saw this post. I got my LT1 running in Feb of 2002.

My name is Mike and I am located in NC.

Here are the details:
1991 RS Camaro, blue, ttopped
96 LT1 with an ATI Procharger P600b,
T56 and 4th gen rear with 3.42s,
OBD1 conversion with Tunercat,
1 3/4" SLP headers and ypipe,
3" mandrel bent exhaust with Flowmaster,
CSI electric H2O pump,
Crane gold 1.6rrs,
Poly bushings,
IRS Terminator adj. torque arm,
94 front and rear leather seats,
Chrome 17" Y2Ks

Nothing really to add on the swap details that isn't known already. I did convert the blower kit I had to a front mount intercooler and moved the MAF to after the head unit. I have 4th gen fuel lines so I had to run them and use a 4th gen gas tank(which required some cutting and rewelding of the fuel filler neck). I had to custom fab pretty much everything for the supercharger. Including the s/c bracket, intercooler piping and intake piping. The blower install was more in depth than the motor/tranny swap. I still haven't seen a blown LT1 in a 3rd gen yet, although I am sure there are some.

Well, that is it. I will repost if I find that I missed something later.

Here are a couple engine pics. If it isn't raining tomorrow, I will take some more as I have moved the location of the air filter.

Just wanted to say I got all of the new posts added to the registry on my website.

Also, just want to apologize for not having the swap guide completed. I've had to put it on the back burner with school. But one of these days, it WILL get completed.

Sure am, sorry I missed it, it's been a while since I've checked this thread or had a chance to work on the registry/swap guide. Should have it updated in the next couple of days.

I'm in the progress of the swap into my 92 RS with a 305 tbi. Doing a few little things to it but I'm a college student so I don't have a lot of money to shell out. Starting from a bare block so most of the stuff will be new but some things I'm just having to get used cuz of money issues. Here are a few things I'm doing:

93 painless harness and computer with modified chip
New stock assembled heads(got really cheap) (may port)
Kmotion valve springs
Comp cam with lifters
eagle cast steel crank
trw speed pro forged pistons
eagle forged rods
stock intake manifold (may port it)
Removing a/c and heater totally
Put in a 94 formula rear end that has 3.23 gears (much better than my limited slip)
Probably will paint block and intake manifold chevy red

I'm taking a class and doing this for credit so it will be done for sure by april and hopefully I can bring it to the gatherings this summer down in atlanta, the one in IL, and the one is bowling green in sept. If anyone is in the Chattanooga area or comes by here we could hook up and cruise to any of the gatherings.

In the future:

tremec 6 speed
total interior restoration
new front end and paint job
complete suspension upgrade
possibly a little nitrous
