Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

I posted some pics of my car last week under the thread "Got the car out today, pics". Well I had the exhaust put on. Its Magnaflow exhaust made for a '93-'97 Fourth Gen. Let me know what you think.

I like the cut out. The only thing i dont like about my stock tips are that you cant really see them since they are kind of hidden.

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

My ehxaust guy orriginally said $75 and he would make a few pieces to make the system work... after all was said and done b/c of how happy i was with the workmanship i gave him a little more... And yes... open headers at the push of a button... nice feature when that mustang pulls up next to you...

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

looks sweet. I was gonna get the magnaflow catback because i got a killer deal on a new one, but was too afraid of fitment issues so i opted to go with a magnaflow direct fit cat, dynomax intermediate pipes, and the magnaflow muffler. It should be here by the end of the week!

How does the magnaflow sound?!

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

It sounds good but i havent really driven the car much b/c of the shitty weather so the exhaust really isnt broken in.. i have a clip of the exhaust and one of the cut out but they arent very long.. i couldnt get my camera to take longer movies but here they are...

I love it. Eassy to clean as well, just some mothers polish every once in a while and it looks like new.

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

Nice pics. I have the same exhaust sitting in my garage. Wasn't too sure I would like the tips, but they look better than I thought they were going to.
Nice to hear the sound also.. I'm glad I went with the Magnaflow now.

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

just my opinion but i hate the tips. i have never ever ever been a fan of large exhaust tips like that imo all exhaust should be tucked away which is why i went with the dynomax turndown tips, the large 3" tips only look good on trucks they look like cannons or something imo.

but i really like the cutout how does that thing seal when it is close? any leaks at all? i have a manual one with the butterfly nuts and it keeps burning up gaskets and leaks like a biatch. i normally ride with the cutout open b/c everyone at school thinks it sounds bad a$$. but with it closed it leaks ALOT which really pisses me off.

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

i had the dynomax on mine before i cut it off and threw it away for the magnaflow. It didnt sound good to me. I and totaly your alter ego lol i had a z71 with dueal exhaust and i had it cut off because i hated the way it looked with it. had them make me turn downs for it . Your car looks like it would look better without tips showing. But i think my car looks good tips.

Mustang in the background...Who's would that be? You camaro look good though. I really like the electric cut away. i am thinking about getting a cable operated one because they are cheaper.

Re: Pics of the Iroc with new exhaust on

That mustang would be my dd. As for leaking.. I havent noticed any yet. the valve seems to make a tight seal. I tried to tuck my tips up and back as far as I could. They dont stick out hardly at all. Oh and heres a pic for those who would like to see the trans am
