Former 383 HSR now 383 DEMON!
Got tired of messing with EFI so I went the carb route. Here are some before and after shots...I like the EFI better
Was HSR, 30 lb SVO's, and 58mm BBK with MSD Pro Billet.
Now Speed Demon 750 DP, and a crap 'trial' Performer intake.

Any performance gains from switching to carb?
Re: Former 383 HSR now 383 DEMON!
I went from EFI to carb as well and couldn't be happier. I love the look of carb, grew up learning and tearing them apart on my dads snowmobiles and camaro's etc.
Looks good, but ditch that Performer intake and get a Holley dominator or Edelbrock RPM air gap.

That car looks like absolute crap! You shouldn't be wasting your time on that thing ... LET'S TRADE!!!
And yeah, I'm in a group of third gens, 4 of them have TPI while myself and another buddy are carbureted. Just something about a carbureted engines that gives me satisfaction. Sounds much angrier and much more raw power.

Re: Former 383 HSR now 383 DEMON!
Right now I'm running a Performer which will soon be switched out for a Performer Air-Gap RPM. Got it fired up today (FINALLY!!!!!!) and she seems to do alright.
The Speed Demon is a 750 mech secondaries.
I won't really see any performance gains but I just couldn't figure out the EFI mess. Trust me, I DID NOT want to switch but I had so many problems I had to go simple and work from there.
I can't friggin wait to get things dialed in to where I can really enjoy it and take it to the track! I couldn't be happier right now!!

Demon crap!!!!! lol, I know how you feel about them. I need to try to get it tuned a little better but I like it so far. Fuel bowl sight windows really make things easy!
