It's finally in...

After about a year of working here and there and other things taking priority it is finally built and in!!! The specs are as follows...

1987 L98 Block
Bored .030 Over
.030 Flat Top Speed Pro Hyperutectic Pistons
Stock Crank (only required polish)
Vortec Heads, 3 Angle Valve Job, Resurfaced, Screw in studs
New Valve Springs (not sure what brand machine shop sourced them)
LT4 Retainers
Comp Cams XR276HR Cam
Reused Stock Roller Lifters (good condition)
Professional Products Single Plane Intake
Holley 3310 750 cfm
Double Roller Timing Chain
Hasting Chrome Moly Rings
Clevlite Bearings
Fel-Pro Gaskets
Th350 with B&M shift kit, upgraded clutches etc, 2800 stall converter

Looks sweet, but how did you bend that lift plate. Have put mine through hell and still looks the same + a few scratches.

holley 3310 isn't a double pumper carb, and a single plane intake would want a 3500-4000 stall typically as well.

You are correct about the carb I meant dual feed not double pumper, the single plane is on there for now, I got it for a steal. I will probably end up selling it and replacing it with an air gap though...pretty simple to swap out after she's running

Haha funny story, the reason the lift plate is bent like that is they went to pick up an engine for the late model from the builder all they had was a truck with a hard cover on the bed so in order for the cover to close they bent the plate I didn't install the engine/tranny with it either...I was going too but was kinda leary with having the vortec intake.

Rust Oleum Industrial Enamel, used it plenty of times on suspension components and engine bays, stuff holds up good
