Is that carpet on the inside plastics?

Looks really killer, can't wait until I get the funds to start my project

hey 19camaro85 you already have a nice ride....

Yes IROCKERZ, I installed carpet on most of the inside plastics.... excluding the door panels, handles and certain sections of the center console as well as the dash.

Re: Z28 (1982) restored

I like the gold piping on the seats. Nice touch.

And you carpeted the dash. Interesting idea. I want to see interior shots of that dash please.

22 months. Way to stay with it.

Looks very nice...my car could also use it next. Can't wait until I get the funds to do some serious work on mine. Anyway, that's a very interesting idea...carpeting the dashpad, that is.

Re: Z28 (1982) restored

Is the dash top and front, and the top door moulding done in tweed? Or is that just an illusion? I like the piping on the seats. Are they leather or vinyl? Its nice to see the older cars restored. Most people want to update the GFX or show mod them. I thought GM did a good job at making them clean and sleek. Glad to see someone has good taste =)

Hi Mikz86TA,
Yes, the Dashpad, the front of the dash, underdash, door molding, doorsills, rear plastics, and headliner have been refinished using thin carpet (same used on professional series speaker enclosures). The seats have been done using vinyl as it was difficult to get someone to do them in leather at an affordable price here in Montreal(qc). Thanks for the compliment and I too like to keep these classics looking original.

nice exterior, but the inside is disgusting, theres defintly nothing original about adding on thin carpet to non carpet items haha.

Re: Z28 (1982) restored

The covering was done nicely. Almost didnt realize it. The seats are in a nice vinyl. Looks close to leather. Its expensive here too. I have a set of Blazer leather seats that one needs 2B done. I want to put them in my truck. But $$ is insane..even for the lower grade stuff. Looks sharp =)
