i have been on here for a while i just havent gotten around to posting any pics of my car. let me know what you think. i paid $2000 for it with mods listed in signature.

----------
here are a couple more. i dont have any of the interior because i am stripping it to weld in a roll cage. i dont have any engine pics either because the carb and distributer are off right now and i havent cleaned the engine bay yet.

Re: pics of my new 1985 IROC
I love the color scheme
What do you know about the history of the car? The front end and hood are incorrect for an 85 IROC, however the rocker ground effects (between the tires each side) is correct and it appears to be missing both door pieces for the ground effects. You sure its an 85? Either way it seems to have had a lot of body panel replacement done. I've never seen a front fascia like that either, aftermarket custom?
What mods does it have? They aren't listed like you said they were

i dont think thats an iroc, the front facia is that of an 82-84 and the hood is from 82-84,it has the correct side rocker panel but is missing the molding for the door, the wheels are not correct for an iroc, check the rpo code sheet under the console lid and check for the code B4Z which will confirm its a real iroc-z,also make sure the vin is correct on the car and sheet, but its still a nice camaro

apparently you guys know alot more about the body than i do... lol. i am positive it is an 85 according to the vin. i thought it didnt quite seem right, but i love it.
even if it isnt an iroc, i doesnt really matter, it doesnt have the stock engine, i am gutting the interior in favor of a roll cage and weight reduction.
there are also no emblems on it, but i do have one of the emblems and it says Z28 and it fits on the side rocker panel thing. i prefer to be unbadged (my mustang gt is unbadged too).
its has a semi-built 350. i havent gotten to the block casting numbers yet... ported heads and some cam, it has a pretty good lope to the sound so i guess it is probably on the bigger side. victor jr. intake manifold, holly 750cfm carb. hooker 1 3/4" primary headers with custom 3 inch y pipe and a custom mandrel bend cat back. accel ignition, a 9" ford rear and other miscelaneous things. i am also unsure of the gear ratio.

Not to beat a dead horse, but the wheels aren't IROC 16's either. Seems to be a good straight car.

sweet deal for a nice car with a 350. I agree with the other guys, I actually just bought my '85 IrocZ last year and the exterior is quite a bit different, but none-the-less nice ride and your exterior is in alot better condition than mine

The wheels are stock 15" Z28/RS/IROC/SC etc... they came on a lot of models at different times. Nice looking car! Two tone rules

Re: pics of my new 1985 IROC
Yep, they were the base wheel for the IROC at one time.
Check out this thread, '88 only...
From Willie's post in that thread:
darn link wont work

From Willie's post in that thread:
It is true the 15-inch wheel was the standard wheel on the IROC-Z beginning in 1988, however it was the "old" Z28 wheel. In 1988, it took on a "double-dipped" appearance (yuk) -- all the aluminum was painted either silver or gold. The 16-inch style was not available in 1988 as a 15-inch wheel. This was a one-year only option, 1989.
