Wow. I would have NEVER guessed I'd like a thirdgen painted that color, and I usually am AGAINST graphics on the side of cars (or in general actually), but that car looks badass! Great job man! Congrats!

Amazing colour choice, I was thinking of doing my car like that. I personally like the black inside the light housings though, and i'm not a big fan of the graphics or rims. I'm sure i'd like it alot more if i saw it in person.

Nice work Ray!
You got a first race on the calendar yet?

Re: Exterior makeover...complete.
Thanks fellas. It turned out better than I expected it would considering the paint was a "backyard" job. In person it looks even better.
The color is Chrome Orange made exclusively by Dupont for Lotus for their Elise from 2004 to 2007. It has a gold mid-coat so in certain lighting angles, it has gold/yellow accents. You can't really see that in the picture. Here's a good shot of the color on the Lotus where you can see those accents; http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/atta...1&d=1141348424

I don't understand why I like the decal.....but I do lol. Car looks really good, flows nicely too. Only thing I would do would be paint the headlight buckets black and tint the windows. Good work!

If you had described it in words only - I would have been skeptical.

What all did you use for the paint job? Did you use your garage or just shoot it in the backyard? Tent?

Wow. That's a hell of a makeover. Nice job and it looks really well done. I'm not a huge fan of graphics but that goes pretty well with the rest of it. It almost reminds me of a mix of the 02 CE TA's but with a bowtie. That color looks gorgeous in person. I've seen one lotus rolling around here in that color.
Re: Exterior makeover...complete.
Thanks again fellas!
Shot it in the garage. The primer, paint, and clear were all Dupont, and sandpaper by 3M. It was shot with a "low grade" DeVilbiss $100 HVLP gun kit...this one to be exact; http://www.tcpglobal.com/images/startinglinecase.jpg
Compressor is a top end 5HP DeVilbiss with 80 gal tank. There's a big water trap filter at the compressor outlet, and a small one right before it enters the gun.
