Sooo… I’ve seen a lot of different hoods on 85-92 camaros…. But I never really have seen any cowls or even rarer an ss hood on a 82-84 camaro… I intended to change that soon, but for now can u guys post up some pics???

Just too clear things up…. I kno wut types of hoods are out there, I just want pics of tho’s hoods on 82-84 camaros… anyway there’s gotta b someone around here some where that’s running around with a cowl hood on an 82-84 camaro… id almost bet money on it… not to positive

by the looks of your sig, i have the same color scheme 84 Z28. I just put a black cowl hood on and will have to upload photos for you when i get home from work.

sure, i'll see what i can dig up. most of the pics i have are over 1mb so it wont allow me to upload them on here. i'll have to modify them.

and thanks on the compliment...i actually got the hood for free...i work for a dealership doing IT work and saw someone had traded a 92 Z28 with that hood along with the stock hood . so the used car manager allowed me to take the hood off the car, put the stock one on and just gave it to me. however i had to get it painted, but hey, a free hood...i'll take it!

this is going to sound very stupid, but i actually got the hood for free and never set out to buy a certain sized cowl. i think its a 2 incher though cause its not the biggest one i've seen and most i think come in 2" or 4" or bigger.

they are poor pics but you get the idea, if you would like i can take nice pics with my digital and email them to you cuz they will be to large for here... these were takin quickly with my phone.. ss ram air. has functional ram im in the process of fabricating a scoop type device for the underside to ram it into an open faced breather. my cam is a 84 sc with carb'd 350. also the hood i bought used and it doesnt have clear coat so the fingerprints are stuck till i repaint my car lol so ignore the paint on it

 

Here is my 84 Z28 with the SS hood. The ground effects have been swapped for the 92 model so don't let it fool you it's an 84. Also the rear hatch is an original GTA Notchback, it has the GM sticker underneath.

maybe a dead thread but i forgot about it so heres my hood its been on for a while just no paint yet goin thru an engine swap
but i was wondering if anyone can name this hood ive never seen it before the owner said it was a daytona hood but i thought the daytona hood was the one with louvers and the weird lookin cowl, the post above me is what i thought the daytona hood was

WOW this thread is old... i started it a long time ago... still havnt gotten my hood :-( but wuts the point the engien isnt done anyway.... keep posting pics tho guys this will be a great tread for others to look at some day and get an idea of wut they think looks good for a hood on there 82-84...
