Nice... on both...
Re: Recent photoshoot after wash and wax {plus my current hottie}
I see the car, but where is the "current hottie"?
If you are serious about photography, then you need to practice alot, because some of those pictures make it look like she used to be a man.

Re: Recent photoshoot after wash and wax {plus my current hottie}
I'm a pro photographer (www.tpsphotography.com) and I can tell you that you didn't do half bad for your first time.
Posing is the strong point here. Although I would like to see more of the car ... this is TGO, after all!
Weak points are lighting and composition. Obviously you were using an on-camera flash in some and no flash at all in some. The problem with on-camera flash is that, if powered too high, makes the lighting "flat" and gives no depth to the image (see the last image you posted). You should try to set it to where it is more of a "fill flash", using the sun as your main light and using the flash to simply soften the sun's harsh shadows. You were photographing at the perfect time of day ... about 1-2 hrs. before sunset. Really beautiful warm light. You just wiped out all of the sunlight with your flash.
Also, there's nothing wrong with photographing with the sun behind your subject (either directly or at an angle), as long as you have the equipment to do it correctly. Your 2nd photo from the bottom is a great example of this. The sun adds a nice "rim light" to their hair and shoulders separating them from the background. The trick in that case is to make sure you light the subject's face instead of it being in full shadow and the background behind being your brightest part of the image. In order to do this really well, you need some light source (flash) about 45 degrees from the subject, in the case of this image lighting from right to left, as your main light, and another on-camera flash to use as the fill.
The top photo is the best IMO, although I would love to have seen her feet here.
Overall, you did a pretty good job. A lot better than the first time I photographed someone outdoors. After 8 years of doing it every day, I think I've gotten a little better (although I photograph mostly families and children).
Congrats on the friend with benefits. You make us old married guys envious.
And don't nobody go raggin' on me for being a photog. and not having many photos of my car up. The last thing I want to do when I get home is pick up a camera!

Re: Recent photoshoot after wash and wax {plus my current hottie}
-I think I know her... is her last name: Butterface?
-When did Matt Damon get a sex change?
-That's not a forehead, that's a fivehead!
-Definition of a Fivehead: A grossly immense forehead, capable of reflecting enough sunlight to blind someone, or play movies onto.
-That Mongoloid has a fivehead fit for screening sneak previews.
Does that offend you? Good.
You should elicit a little more class by avoiding posting picture of, and not refering to women as hotties, on the internet. Clown.

But the fivehead remark is a little over the top. The guy asked for reviews on his photography, not for someone to bash his current POA.
Re: Recent photoshoot after wash and wax {plus my current hottie}
she lawled at this thread btw
i was using a external flash, which i found out later was on WTF bright setting, not fill like i had thought. in experience with the equipment.
im currently using a Rebel XT, here are some shots of just the car.
