Cheap IROC-Z

So I have my IROC-Z up and running!!

My goal was to have a nice running IROC on the cheap. It’s not too nice yet but I do have real license plates and it runs great.

I bought the chassis at the abandoned vehicle auctions and over time put it back together from parts off of parts cars.
$1700 total spent so far and $1600 plus made from selling the parts I don’t need.

Not including a couple of hundred hours labor of course…..

BTW, it anyone has a nice front bumper cover and or 16” IROC wheels in the Arizona area I could use them and of course if anyone needs anything I am selling off the extra stuff CHEAP.
I need to start the bodywork now but the firebird wheels are kind of growing on me

Looks good. Sounds like you are on track for your cheap budget plans. Keep us informed. I've got a blue 89 Iroc that I'm getting ready to start working on.

That is a really awesome car for the money you have in it man. Goes to show what you can do with a lot of hard work and keeping your eyes open for parts. I must admit I don't care for that style of firebird wheel, if they were GTA's it would be better. Otherwise I'd say go back with IROC's. Great work man!

Re: Cheap IROC-Z

Hey Noble!! Cool news on the '89, Don't forget to send update pics if you can

I agree on the GTA wheels. Definitely my first choice. The bad news for me is I sold a similar to GTAs set (off of a mid nineties Grand Prix) for a hundred bucks last year. A lady friend of mine has those GP wheels on her '91 Camaro and they look great except for the caps.

This car is looking like a keeper for me
