Need some Information...

I recently got my license and now Im saving for a car. Ever since I can remember I fell in love with camaro's and always wanted one.

Ive been interested in getting a 1992 Camaro RS with mostly just stock stuff.
I found I can get one for under $3000, which is a relief because Im not made of money...

Before I buy anything, can someone tell me what Camaro's are "notorious" for and what I should inspect and before getting one.

Thanks,

Stattman

camaro's are notorious for being neglected so make sure you inspect the car well before u buy it, also fuel pumps are another thing that goes bad

Thanks... I know generally enough about cars and engines to make me dangerous.

And how much would it cost to replace a fuel pump if one is bad?

RUST RUST RUST... take a flashlight and crawl under the car and look at everything.

I've put prolly 15K into an engine/tranny/suspension/rear end, and the body is falling apart due to rust.

Re: Need some Information...

Look at the condition of the outside window "scrapes" ... they seal against water filling your doors in heavy rain and can cause hidden rust cancer ... you only see it when it comes through the bottom of the door.
