I found this car about a month ago and bought it the same day. Its not perfect but its what I could afford.
when i first found it:






I like the Z28 front end, so i painted the headlight paockets black..

 

The rims that came on it were beyond cleaning. they also had older tires and a mismatched tire, so i bought these off of an 83 Z28. great tires and the rims were like new.




Time for a new steering wheel.

 

I found 91 RS rims on craiglsit, said the tires only had a few hundred miles on them. me and my girlfriends little brother took a 3 hour ride saturday night to get them. the wheels are sweet, but are painted white. cant beat $100!!





i have done alot more than the pictures show. things like dash pad, got the door panel back on, it has a broken coil spring that i had to fox also. the drivers seat has been stitched and carpet cleaned. the car runs great, i did have to change the maf, and blank off the egr valve, but ait runs great for 20 years old.

 

i also had to tighten up the steering column, it was VERY sloppy. yesterday i got into it trying to find out why the hatch motor didnt work. it was unplugged and now it works great.

 

Man you can't go wrong for 500 bucks.Nice car to restore.

Hmm, I'm thinking new front billet grill, shave the side moldings off, and wax her real good....

.... aero ground effects wouldn't hurt either.

 

i want the fog light grill and gtid tail lights, other than that im happy.

 

Thats a screaming deal for $500. Did the guy owe you money or was that someone you knew? Regardless, nice find!

 

I have one if you need one, as I'm upgrading to the Billet. I was about to fill in the bolt holes because I don't need to run a front plate here, just the rear. It's off of an '86 Iroc....

 

i found it on a local f-body board. its far from perfect, floorboards and trunk are starting to turn, but paints 2 years old. as a matter of fact, here is the link.

I appreciate it, but even if it were free i could get one for less than shipping at a local yard. im lucky to have this junkyard close, its down in the ghetto and they all pick steering wheels or rims off cars, none of the cool junk.
