86 I-Roc Z Camaro

Well, I'm looking at this camaro to restore, get running again, here is one pic he sent me, does it have a chance? If I buy it and start working on it, I'll be sure to post updated pictures.

Name: Picture1312.jpg
Views: 65
Size: 106.1 KB

He has the full set of tires, with an extra set I could probably get for cheap.
I asked for more pics of this, and I'll post them when I get them.

Anytime I see anyone restoring a 3rd gen, rather than junking it, I'm all for it.

Besides, the body from the cowl back, looks pretty mint in that pic.

Go for it bro!!

Awesome. I like the support I have to call this guy tommorow.

The fact is I'm 17, and I don't really know to much about cars, I know the basics. But my dad is a mechanic, and so is my brothers dad. But I really want a car I can continue working on through my senior year. But really. The hood, the fenders, the grill would be like 600$ right? From this site...

http://www.speedycarparts.com/sku/Ch...1992_5714.html

And my brothers dad has 4 V8's sitting around (I don't know the specs) and I could install one of those...I just don't know how the interior is, or if the frame is bent, or what.

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

Well it looks pretty rust free...any pics of the front end damage? It may have cause the frame to bend depending on where it was hit. To see if the frame is bent look closely at the way the doors line up and the hatch as that could be a hint of your frame being bent since the body is really tied into the frame.

With some new fenders, hood and front bumber you may be ok.

Good luck.

I'd grab it.I think these cars are flying under the radar right now,and when they do become worth some money you can't go wrong with the Iroc edition.

If you need any resot parts here's a link to our Camaro section.

I totally agree. These cars can be had for cheap and restored for cheap. Keep them for about 10 years and you will make a profit.....if you want. i say get it!

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

If its in my area, and you dont get it, I totaly going to buy it for $300. No joke.

Get it, and being a 86 its a 305, they didnt have the 350 in 86, unless someone put one in. get some pics of the front. also get parts from the junk yard and localy. like on craigs list. I got a set of fenders for $40, hood $40, and front clips as low as $50.

Yeah, do you think the frame is bent on it though? Doesn't that just ruin the whole car?

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

Get it! Even if you dont work on it right away, just have it. I would go with a stock 350 t.p.i swap and later add some bolt ons. You can get decent power 4 cheap. It would fit with no prob. best bang for your buck. Body looks great, even if you have frame damage, ur only getting the car for a couple hundred bucks!! you can save and fix it. Im jelouse.

Good luck

Yeah, but I'm thinking I should just wait it out, get a running car. Especially since I work at Albertsons and I don't have all the money in the world you know? And I don't really know where I would put a two cars

That interior looks pretty mint too -- and it's a stick.

Someone needs to save that car.

He actually has two for sale. They are both smashed in the front. A z28, and an Iroc. And it's in white city, Oregon. If anyone wants to know.

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

That would make a nice parts car and is a good deal for the money but I'm not sure it's worth fixing. I think by the time you got everything fixed you would have a lot more into it than the car would be worth.

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

For the hell of it do u got pics of the other car?

And I would defiantly pick these up myself if i was closer.

But that car is DONE! the frame is defiantly twisted to hell, and would be very hard to make it drive able again, and go down the road straight at that.

Here is the other one, you can tell the frame is bent because of the door.

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

I'd offer the guy $400 for the first one, considering the drivetrain is gone and the frame is beyond the realms of fixable.

Re: 86 I-Roc Z Camaro

the interior in that baby is still good, id say buy it for 300 keep the parts youll need like the interior, and part the rest out, youll make back that 300 and more, which you can use towards another car.

your not gonna find clean interiors like that very often
