It's a hidden ram-air system.... Works pretty well!
The grill openings (where it draws air from) are screened off with Z06 stainless mesh material to keep bugs and leaves out.

 

Mine will never look that good. Nice car!

 

Any car can be made into something nice. All it takes is time and money.

I've had the car for 11 years, it was in pretty rough shape when I got it and 11 years later, I'm still far from finished.

 

Are those wheels stock? I'm in love with those.

 

The wheels are custom Boyd Coddington "1bad91Z" 's
They are 17 inch wheels based on the factory '91-'92 16 inch Z28 wheel.

Yea it needs to be lowered bigtime!!

But I'm going to wait until after the LS swap because it might need more than an inch in the front due to less weight...

I'm figuring it will need 2 inches in the front and 1.5 in. in the back.

If Kevin and I can get a pro photographer to due a shoot of the two I think that would be cool! I'll run it by him and see what he thinks.

 

Love your car man. The wheels are amazing, wish I could afford them. I've got a perfect 91Z for you to donate your current drivetrain into when you do your LS swap.

The powertrain will be up for sale in the fall (motor/tranny/headers/accessories/etc..) motor/tranny has about ~1,500 miles on it since it was built. It will plug right into your thirdgen!

24"x36" Black background with white outline framing the pic, TGO logo of some sort at the top (or bottom center)...

I'd frame that and put it in the living room!

LS swap is getting closer...

 

What do you guys/gals think of this? I'm thinking of running a pair of 3 inch Borla XR-1's when I do the LS conversion...
