have lots of money and time Nice find! Not too many 82 Z28's on this site anymore. My uncle used to have an 82 Z28 that he bought new that he would have let me have for free. It was in about the same shape as yours. Had motor and tranny but the block was cracked and the tranny wouldn't shift into 3rd (it was 4 speed car). It had no interior either. Had I been older and had more money I would have grabbed it, but it was going to cost a lot to fix it. So I passed it up and got my car and he ended up selling it for like $200.
If it was me I'd put a carbed 350 in it personally. I like the SBC more than LSX because of how they look and sound. Also, please keep the 82-84 style graphics on it/get those year graphics if it doesn't have them.

I was in the middle of finding one,and he told me he couldnt sell it,so it was an early xmas gift in a sense lol. im not locked in on a motor yet,but idk much bout carb setups.owning my SS has helped me learn alot about ls based motors,so naturally i feel more comfortable with that lol.but nothing big will happen til the end of the yr!Originally Posted by Dartht33bagger

wow, judging from the inspection sticker on that thing, it's been sitting around for a LONG time.... what year is on it?
It's a nice looking car, what do you want to do with it? there's a big difference between daily driver and hot rodded cruiser

Only if you do it how I did it. On the other hand, my dads car is almost finished and so far he doesn't have any money in it. He bought a parts car and it paid for itself. The exhaust is about the only part that will be truly out of pocket.Originally Posted by toxik IROC

LSX this thing and never look back. Oh and if the 01 is paid for, swap everything to the 82.
