Drive Shaft Question !!

I have a 1992 Camaro RS v8. Pulled drive shaft and installed new U joints. Car started vibrating afterwards. Does drive shaft need to be on exactly the same splines on transmission shaft as it came out? Any ideas on fixing this problem?

Re: Drive Shaft Question !!

Never heard of anyone making sure it was on the same transmission splines. BUT - I have heard of folks reinstalling in the same position on the pinion.

Yup.. Make sure of that as well as the slip yoke on the front. If you didn't mark them before you took them apart you may have one or both 180* off.
