The bowtie grill is getting sprayed gloss black with the bowtie being painted purple.

Also I scheduled my vacation day to go pick it up Friday April 6th!

 

When I had the front end of mine shaved I also had my grill sprayed gloss black... I did my bowtie in teal, and ended up not liking it at all. We put it back to red the next day. Weird how such a small piece of red on a car that has literally NO RED at all looked better.

I'm really interested to see the pics, I'm sure its gonna look great.

 

Oh ya and I also picked up a 4th gen windshield fluid reservoir to stick in the bumper.

 

Landon is messin around with a few ideas of adding something unique on one or both of the blisters, the idea is still in progress, will have more on that later.

I've just been sent photos of the hood blisters with a custom air brush graphic but I've been asked not to post the photos here until we pick up the car April 6th because my dad checks this site from his computer and my buddy wants to make it a surprise for him. It looks so freaking cool though I absolutely cannot wait to get the car back and show you all!

Our pickup date had to be pushed back two weeks due to unforeseen events. Our scheduled pickup date is now 4/20/12.

 

That's unfortunate but it's pretty cool to get the purple haze camaro back on 4/20!

 

Badass project. What going to be done to the motor? And do I see another vert z28 spoiler in the works?!?!?

 

The motor is a stock cube LT1 with ported heads and intake and a decen size cam. It has an electric WP, and will have headers and a 3" stainless exhaust with the SLP Two on the Left. The engine with a T56 behind it is about a 370hp combo. Nothing extreme but definitely worlds apart from a stock TPI third gen.

No spoiler on this one. We didn't want to tackle it ourselves given that mine doesn't fit as well as I'd like it to and we put a ton of time into it. With the caliber of the paint job on this car he wants it to be perfect and having the painter do the body work on a spoiler was a $500 option.

LOL yeah i know how you guys feel on that. nothing is more pain staking than having the car painted and taking forever. At least you have the car with someone you trust

Today is the day

 

Today IS the day!

We are just inside of Kansas from the Missouri border, will get there in about 3 hrs, staying over night and headed back tomorrow. Don't worry I won't make you wait till we get home to see it though

 

The car was so happy that it invited Charlie Sheen over for a party on its nose!

I'm going to be hunting for some clear front turn signals, new parking lights, and we're going to probably tint the tail lights that are going on it. He also wants to lower the car after it's done, because even the back end sits kinda high right now.

Landon is the man. It came out amazing. You keeping the cobra wheels or switching them up?

 

For now he's staying with the cobras but he may swap to something else later.
