how to remove wax?
i decided to try my hand at waxing my car toight after i had washed her and well it didnt come out too pretty. it looks like my paints dull and you can feel the wax on it, i didnt do my whole car, just the roof and my spoiler before i saw the mishap. how can i remove the wax and what are some waxing techniqes?
Re: how to remove wax?
You can get stripper soaps such as Chemical Guys Citrus Wash/Gloss, or alternatively dish soap will take all the wax off.
To wax it depends on the wax. Some liquid waxes require waiting until it hazes/drys, other waxes like higher end paste waxes just need to be buffed on and buffed off. Personally I prefer a circular motion, using as little product as possible with a foam applicator, and I buff the wax off with the short-nap side of a quality microfiber towel.
Thing with wax is that you have to make sure to get all the filmy residue off. Even after I'm done with a panel completely, I take a fresh MF towel and buff the entire panel with a good amount of pressure to make sure all the film is off.

I've used Dawn dishwashing liquid to remove the wax, followed by a clay bar, then Meguiars' three-step process.
