the rear wheels are at the shop gettin widened 1 1/2".... i cant wait to get them back!

 

it was a pain in the but painting the headlight buckets, the flat plastic paint wanted to wrinkle like mad (but i got it eventually). The stereo mount turned out great! i came across that idea in one of the threads i read here on third gen.... thanks guys!

Nice work, front end looks great, excellent job lining everything up. Make sure to post pics of the wheels when you get them back and mounted.

 

Are the wheels the chrome replicas?

 

I really like how the headlight buckets turned out. Great job! The rest of the car looks good as well.

 

no the wheels are stock, i had the 5 stars polished out to a high polish though at a local shop.

 

What size tires are you going with on the rears?

 

falken 255/50/16. i cant realy go any wider without going to a race tire being that the rims are 16's. im planning on taking the car touring so i want to stay with a harder street tire.
i know i could have fit them on the wheels without widening the rims but i wanted the bigger tread pattern without the "bubbled" sidewall look. Just my preferance.

 

well its officially an iroc again. bought a graphic set from pheonix graphics. went on very nicely and very factory looking.

 

What color did you go with on the blue? The original 85 blue?

 

yeah 85 bright blue. i was told it was the only year for that color on the iroc but i dont know that for a fact.

 

well its on the ground with some new shoes.
i have decided to keep the 255's on the rear rims and go with a 225 on the front ( the 245's just didnt have the look i was going for ).
im not sure that i would have gone this route (widening the rear rims) if i had seen what they would look like in person but they look ok.
i am thinking that when i lower the car it will be the icing on the cake and give the car the look i had envisioned.
