Yep, got the louvers tucked away along with the fog light grill insert. The louvers need to be repainted and the grill had multiple holes drilled in it when I picked it up at the junkyard. Holes are filled but I still have to sand and repaint it as well. The headlight buckets will get painted black soon after.

A few updates. Been working on the engine bay a little and got Z28 badges on. When we move into our new house next month I will be painting the louvers and grill insert.

Your Berlinetta is looking great! What a transformation! I know how much work it is as I have done the same conversion to my 1984 Camaro Berlinetta.

Oh my.... I dont see how you were able to do that in any sort of cost effective way, so congrats for pulling it off. You cant argue with results, that looks fantastic. I love silver IROCs.

Congratulations on the win!
I had a standard center console in mine for a while. It takes a couple of modifications but it might be worth considering. You could also swap to a 4th Gen center console as well.
FWIW, Berlinettas lack a couple of triangle braces up by the front frame rails. Easy to pick up a set and install though. Did you upgrade sway bars yet?

The K-member braces?
These black pieces are the factory k-member braces.

Yep, digital dash and pod radio. I love it!
I got a Wonder Bar from an IROC and Z28 front sway bar. The Berli didn't have a rear bar, so that will be a nice upgrade.

Re: My '85 Berlinetta transition to IROC clone
The car look GREAT dude !! The black headlight pockets were (very) worth the effort. I had an 86IROC painted silver once and your Berlinetta looks very much like my old ride right now. Silver is my (second!) favorite color on a ThirdGen.

Edit: Your Berlinetta is an 85,.... Did it have the front frame rail to cross-member braces from the factory ??? I know 82-84 Coupes/Berlinetta didn't get them, ( only Z28 did ) but thought the braces were added to all cars ( "standard" F41 for all ?) starting in 85 or 86.
Scorpner is giving you some good advise about those Frame-Rail braces. If you plan to keep the car, get some !! There's also a 3rd brace under the drivers side "battery tray" - be sure to get that one too. the 4th one is a rod type brace from the cowl to the pass side hood hinge.
IMO; you REALLY need to install a rear sway bar ! Once you install a rear sway bar your gonna' fell like your driving a totally different car. While installing the rear bar I'd also consider rear springs ( put the front spring swap on hold till the struts need to be replaced. ) Adding a rear sway bar is going to cause a HUGE change to it's handling; so much that you will have to re-learn driving thru the curves !!
Keep up the great work !!
