I also took off the magnaflow muffler and installed a Corsa catback for a 4th gen as you can see the tips in the last post. It installed fine all i had to do was make custom hangers. It is a little too raspy for my liking so i will be adding a couple high flow cats to the ory to tone it down some.
I went quite a bit rarther on this one than i did the last one. The black car i completely tore down and replaced everything with the exact componets i wanted. With the blue car i did more of a budget refresh.
Dude! That car looks exceptionally clean as well, great job on both!
I've been looking at doing the CTS-v brakes on my car also, but I don't think the BMW Parallels that I'm running will clear the calipers without being spaced way out.
It's really hard to believe that car sat in a field before you bought it and is a T-top car with a floor that clean. I had an 89 IROC that was stored in the winters and the floors still looked like Swiss cheese, of course I bought it in the northeast when I was stationed up there.
Here are some pics from this last friday. I had a buddy buff the car before i went up to the local cruise in. I also got the taillights done except clearing them.
I love this car!
So let me ask a couple of things:
How did you lower the car? The stance is absolutly perfect in my eyes!
Do you run the same rim width front and rear? Do you use spacers or is it a 4.Gen rear?
Where did you order the front brake conversion kit ?
Thanks man and alway have fun with this amazing ride!
i just have it setting on Eibach springs.
yes front and rear are both 18x9.5 and i have a strange s60 rear 4th gen width so only 1.75" spacers in the front.
front brakes are ls1 bracket with cts v calipers and rotors.
Very cool!
But i´m curious about the springs, because I also had Eibach Sportline for my Iroc with the 5L TPI.
The stance was ok, but when I installed the LS1, which is way lighter than the SBC, the front raised at least one inch.
Didn´t u have the same problem?
Are these aftermarket rims or original GM?
Which tire size are u runnin?
