Great idea. I remember that previous thread, though not the design.
A couple of questions.
Any idea how thick that master cylinder is on it's end? That's the backside of the bore. Just curious if it can handle the extra load.
Did you round the end of the boot to a smooth bullet nose-like shape to match that hemispherical depression in the end of the master cylinder (assuming it was was hemispherical casting shape?)
That's a good touch on the welder. The QA1 STB I have is also quite thin. Nice a light, but I would not attempt to weld on it. I did weld an air cleaner once, so maybe I could, but I'd be nervous!
Also curious about lateral movement when the chassis flexes. Your application probably won't suffer from that like my stock t-top car will. I wonder if there would be a way to integrate some side to side, or radial movement? Like the socket of a heim joint instead of s stud....think...think...think.
