Now it really looks like a car again.
Wiring is well under way and it won't be long until we're ready to crank it over.

Matt is finalizing the car's wiring and has begun some interior assembly. The door panels came off of our previous Test Car and are original other than our arm rest modification.

Progress, progress, progress...
The car is now plumbed thanks to Earl's Performance Fittings and the exhaust is on for good...getting closer to firing it up.

Are you running that 3an stainless braided brake line to junction block then hardline out to front wheels? I'm wondering about thoughts of going stainless braided from my master straight to the front wheels in 3an and hiding them... while I've got a motor out.

Its a shame you guys werent in the game 10 years ago when I started building mine. A lot of cool stuff on offer.
I find it a shame that shifter ring and crossmember arent being brought to market, but I have many more pages to read, so maybe you guys will change your mind.

Yes Brandon, it is -3 off of the masters going to a junction. From there it's 3/16 hardline to all 4 corners.

The picture of the Kicker 4" x 6" speaker is funny - does anyone expect to hear the radio over the engine & exhaust in that thing?

Can you post pics of how you routed the scavenge and supply lines on the dry sump setup? I'm trying to run one on mine and I'm not sure how to route the lines out of the bottom of the tank and the pump.

For the scavenge line, we had to clearance the K-Member. We will post photos when we re-install the line.

Some more quick updates for you...
Had to grab a few photos of the duct work before the C&R Racing radiator goes back in.

Re: Detroit Speed 1987 Camaro Test Car 2.0
As most of you may know, we experienced an unfortunate event with our original DSE 1988 Camaro at the track. After extensive inspection, the body was not fit for a rebuild. So now it sits in the woods. We have had many requests for updates on a new project, so we will be coming to you weekly with updates on DSE 1988 Camaro 2.0!
The new car will be fairly similar to the previous build with some updates and changes. The entire car will be "Equipped" with all of the production components we offer for 3rd gen vehicles. We started 2.0 with a fairly solid 1988 V6/auto car. Some updates over the previous car will be a de-stroked dry-sump LS7 rather than the wet-sump LS3 and the Ford 9" rear will feature our DSE C6 full floater axle kit.
At this point, the car has been stripped, blasted, and fabrication has begun. We have installed our DSE subframe connectors along with newly fabricated racing seat mounts. We have also installed our DSE 600 steering gear to frame (The frame was modified to allow for a 4th fastener).
We look forward to continuing these updates and we will be here for any questions that you may have!
Thanks,
Alex.

The wheels are 18x11 6" BS up front and 18x11 6.5" BS in the rear. We are running BFGoodrich Rival S tires 315/30/18 all around.

Re: Detroit Speed 1987 Camaro Test Car 2.0
The lower hose utilizes an Earl's Fittings adapter while the upper hose was made in house. To do the heater hoses we simply knocked out the factory pipes and tapped the holes to NPT. From there we just used an AN adapter.
The line up to the windshield is used as a NASCAR-style purge if the car ever overheats.

We used these little adapters that create 2 sealing surfaces and allow an AN fitting to seal to the heater core.

Any idea why they are venting the valve covers vs pulling a vacuum on the engine?

The valve covers and dry-sump tank both vent to a catch can that is mounted right next to the tank itself. You can see it in the attached photo.

Do you have a part number for these fittings? I love how clean these look. Would love to know more about the part numbers for each coolant line to the water pump. Many thanks!!

Although they appear very close in the photos, we can assure you that the lines do not interfere with any steering components. They are close, but do not touch.

... how do you guys like the Brown & Miller hose ends ?? ... we use them on about 90% of our stuff we build, but lord what a massive improvement over the standard braided hose ends as far as time to build and weight, Brown/Miller stuff is a snap !!! almost too easy with the press ... they are spendy though ...

I just gotta say that DSE-Z looks perfect!!!! I don't know how you come up with these great ideas, but that little touch is killer HAHA!
I really like your placement better and wish I would not have put mine on at 4am, and took the time to play with placement vs using factory measurements. I got that time now... I'll be looking for an email with a AI file soon

Sounds Angry!
Are you running a stock rear glass hatch or did you install a lexan rear window? I've never seen the installation of lexan in place of the rear glass. I would like to see how it was done.
