1985 IROC-Z is finally getting some love

After lurking here for over a decade and owning this car for 20 years I am finally getting to restore it back to its youthful glory. I bought it in 1999 with 53, 000 miles and daily drove it for about 10 years. After that, It started having some mechanical issues and was put in storage. Last summer we pulled all the interior out of it and are getting ready to take it to paint in the next month or so. I've slowly been collecting needed parts and have a brand new engine for it as the original 305 that is in it is quite tired. I was quite surprised to find the floor pans were not rusty since the t-tops leak like a sieve and it was not always stored indoors. I will keep updating as the work progresses.

Awesome!!!!!!! Looking forward to following along! .....Love the blue 85's!!! I bought MY 89 Iroc in 98....drove it for a few years then started modding. After 20 years I finally sold it last October. ....and my journey begins again. While I have a few different ideas, a blue 85 is on top of the list.

Thanks! It has definitely come in handy to store all of our cars, parts, and related stuff. We were paying so much in storage fees that we figured it would be a good investment. That picture was taken shortly after we had it built so that is why it looks so empty.
