Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and my new to me Third Gen Camaro! I picked up this gem up back in January and figured it was about time I joined the forum and leave the lurker status behind. . It is a 1986 Iroc-Z Camaro and I am the third owner.
It is a true Iroc as I used this very site to check the RPO codes. The car is fully loaded to the hilt with power everything, even a auto-dimming rear-view mirror! The car boasts 52,xxx miles and I believe it with how mint the interior is. There isn't a spot of rust on this thing as I had it on my hoist and checked the whole thing over! T-Tops do not leak, although I did have to replace the drip edge (went with the plastic drip edge). The bad is the paint is in rough shape and the front chin spoiler has some road rash but what do you expect for a 37 year old car. I have wanted a Third Gen Camaro since I was 14 (actually owned one for a short amount of time but that is a story for another time) so this is a dream come true for me. The 305 TPI runs like a top (does smoke a bit on start up but it is minor). I have done some odds and ends to it but the next big project I am embarking on is retrofitting the AC as it does not work at all. I look forward to contributing to the forum and helping out where I can! (Also please ignore my messy shop, that is also a work in progress!)
