The BIRD THAT see it all
Well today was a great day i have just put the new body parts on my car but before that you must know the history of it....(get a beer this is a good one) well.. i purchased the car in 2003 for 1500 it was ok 87,xxx a little V6, parents said i couldn't handle the V8
but whatever so after a month got my first ticket racing some Honda, flew past a cop at 68mph in a 55 little does he know i was going 109 a 1 mile back.
almost 2 year went by with out anything happening then 2004 some guy cut me off going in a U-turn so i hit the brakes lock them up and it was wet so i hit the mountain of all curbs and cracked both rims and bent my idler arm ( that big middle part of the 'K' member saved my engine and trans so i was lucky that guy got away so
.
now we are in 2008 the winter
rear wheel drive in 5 inches of snow and ice with a open-diff and no anti-lock brake nice... so first snow some lady locked up her brakes run a light hit me on the passenger side messed up the fender and bumper ok im fine i fix it later ... then someone breaks in my car they couldn't break the window so they bent the whole window sideway destorying the window motor, the top weatherstriping on the door, the side mirror for a 20 radar detector whatever its like 20 degrees out i don't need to roll the window down and last i hit a tree thank to some ******* half-a$$ snow plowing messed up the bumper fender and bumper support ........ nice story right so now that its summer i fanilly fixed all the big problems now i just need to dorp my 350 in it YEAAAA

Man, Karmas a bitch isn't it?
Street racing at 109 mph you better be glad you didn't slam into someone else that had nothing to do with your stupidity and killed them.

Back to the car, What is the progress?
Personal note:
I have never raced on the street!
Went to some street racing when I was younger, the last time something stupid happened
2 bystanders were killed and a third has been in a wheelchair since. The driver was uninjured.
You are probably a very capable driver, but on the street you can not control anything else ie:animals, other drivers, weather/road conditions.
I have kept my racing to the tracks/events drag and SCCA type, it is a blast.
Most of the people in my club are under the impression that I do not drive fast, they are partially right!
I have spent too much sweat, time and money too have some grandpa come pull in front of me ( with his turn signal still on for the last 5 miles)
and wreck my ride because "it was like candy".
You will do what you want, but be careful and try to keep it on the track!

Re: The BIRD THAT see it all
the way i see it, you cant be a good driver if you never mess up, and you cant mess up unless you push yourself and/or the vehicle...
You have to get to the edge to know were it is.
Edit: BUT I NEVER DO IT WITH ANYONE ELSE AROUND!! Street racing with no cars on the road is fine with me, but when you put other peoples lives at risk (ME/FAMILY) then its not worth it. Find a straight back road thats smooth and have a spotter or something.. Common sense
good luck

When I first got my car I was a teenager...never did anything that STUPID. I've taken it 80 or above cruising, but not racing. That's just retarded in a V6, your bound to lose(I know, I have a V6, why bother.) Also, i've had no beer and I had to re-read some of it because your typing/punctuation is so incorrect...I know that's not what they're teaching you in school.
