I think they look awesome and are a lot more comfortable. But maybe someday I will buy another 3rd gen to do a conversion.

If the tips question is directed at me, then 4 inch.
And I have seen the pmd seats in leather and they are not to bad. As for the 305 thanks for the 2 cylinder increase but she is only a 3.1 v6. Thank you for the complements I try to keep her clean. I bought her Sep 11 2001 and have tried to keep her clean but she has occurred some damage over the years. But I take pride in all her 218,xxx miles.

1984--L69 5-speed--one owner, all original, 7000 miles. Working on cosmetics now. Pretty base car with J65, G80, W62, T-tops. Standard vinyl interior. She needs a lot of love from years of sitting. Hoping to have it finished by first of summer.

I think the other one I saw was an 83-84 camaro

It was pretty much parked it's whole life, which in this case wasn't necessarily a good thing. All of the window sweeps, hoses, etc. were dry rotted and the coolant system was a total mess. Surprisingly, the tires are like brand new, no flat spotting or anything.
I've got all of the mechanicals straightened out and cleaned the dealer-added undercoating off of it.
I've got a lot of new old stock parts to go back on it, but just haven't had the time lately to work on it much.
I'll post some good shots of it once it's all done.
There are some fantastic cars in this thread. Nice stuff guys!!!

Re: Post your firebird pics
i didnt buy it, but it was $650. the only thing the damage did to her was the insulation behind dash was all burnt up and like two wiring harnesses were burnt. i took out my dash vacuumed, cleaned up some wires got a new harness for the heater controls and took out the harness that went to the PCM....my car is carbed though. but now the temp gauge doesnt read, speedo doesnt work and the one plug that went to the blower motor isnt there. o well
ahha
thanks for the compliments.
heres what it looked like after i took out the dash in 8 mins to get back to the smoke. let me add that i did this while the fire department was there....the one guy said, "well looks like we have to cut your dash out" i told him " ummm hell no, give me a wratchet and a couple sockets" hahahahah

Re: Post your firebird pics
Thanks Bro! The hood was not easy to lineup. But makes the TA look mean. Here are some more pic's. The one with out the Ram Air hood is when I got it. Since then I replaced the Rear Spoiler with the fiberglass one, new headliner, Striped the clearcoat off the rims and polished them. Lucked out and picked the Fiberglass Ram Air Hood up local for a good deal. Then picked up the GTA rims put then on. Just need to get her painted. Cheers Bro..

88taguybird looks good, minus the 4th gen wing, doesn't go along with the car. Hood is definitely unique in a good way.

Re: Post your firebird pics
I had the covers made at my upholstery shop. The material is listed as baseball glove leather. The guy at the shop made the head rest piece and then I took them to an embrodery shop and they put the birds in them before the upholstery shop stitched the seat cover together. Then I polished the emblems and he reriveted them to the seat. Just covered the platics in black leather.
