Here's some updated shots of my GTA. I finally got done with the suspension and braking upgrades. Hotchkis Lowering Springs with Koni Yellows. C5 Vette Brakes front, PBRs rear. All kinds of UMI goodies underneath. Also finally found an '87 GTA steering wheel, and a 4th Gen refurbished CD Player.

There's been a lot of work getting her to this point. Got some more plans for it, but I've got to get caught up on my 454 Suburban first. I'm trying to get it ready for a big road trip in August.

Haha, well thank you! It's been hard to get work done on it with the other stuff I've been doing, but it really is turning out the way I wanted it to. I'm just dying to get the 6-speed and Vortec engine build done right now. When I do that, it'll be getting new seat covers and carpet too. Should be really nice then.

Thanks Karl! You ever get that cam put in?
I'm dying to get the T56 in, it's sitting in my laundry room floor right now collecting dust and spiders, haha. Unfortunately, without a lift or trans jack (I'm nowhere near a base with all the good stuff right now), I'll probably have to wait until I get to flight school to get it done. Oh well, should give me enough time to save up for a good rebuild, a nice clutch, and an adjustable master cylinder. I've been wanting one for a while.

Not yet, waiting for my Superram, ignition & maybe some heads. Got a fully built liw mileage 700r4 with a converter cheap. Also got 3:73 gearing. Im just waiting for everything to come in, so I can do everything all at once.
I would love to get a T56, someone us selling one here with a swap kit for a Thirdgen, just dont have the funds at the moment.

^ I like the second pic, but I'd leave the Formula hood, love that hood the only hood that looks better on a 01-92 is the ram air 1 style hood.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Very similar to this car:

I'd say go for it. The honeycomb wheels in the correct backspacing on a 17" rim would look amazing on that car. Shaker hoods have been done successfully on a 3rd Gen before, and that too looks pretty good in my opinion, when done right. There are some threads on how to properly cut the hood and modify a 2nd Gen shaker to fit a 3rd Gen. There's quite a bit of fab work involved, but it looked pretty sweet when finished.
Only thing I'd change is to go with the earlier style phoenix on the nose, like the 70-73 cars had. The earlier style bird would go much better with the look you're going for.

Thanks! They're original C5 Z06 rims off a 04 Corvette.
I've got to make some new brackets, I did a pop-up headlight delete and still have to re-measure to make my final brackets.

Latest pic of my Formula. Hood and front bumper need a new coat of paint. It pains me to see the rest of the car so glossy, and the hood and the front bumper so dull...

This was years ago Gas went down around my Junior or Senior year of HS i do remember 20 bucks filling up my car. I live in florida though so im not sure how gas was for everyone else, but i know i have fond memories of what 20 bucks would actually do.
