Re: Perfect weather!!!

I told my son that this has been the perfect t-top/convertible weather. It wont last long as it is going to get hot soon. I loved the t-tops in the TA I had but in the summer they never came out and the creeks and rattles that came with it just was not worth it. But I love the looks of them.

Do you find taking them in and out to be a pita??? My hatch is full of speakers and amps, so I can't use my t-top storage bag the right way. So I pretty much slide them in the bag sideways and shove them in the little cubby hole towards the back. PITA!!!

I had 2 10" subs in the sump where the t-tops go. I removed them 6 months after I bought the car. Now, 5 years later, I'm working on a box to put 1 of the 2 where my spare tire is now. The only pita I've experianced happened last weekend. I got home after a drive, put my roof back on, and tried to close my hatch. Unfortunately the latch decided that 24 years of operation was enough and refused to work

I did that 4 years ago. Its the latch itself that has failed now.

Re: Perfect weather!!!

Sad to see this weekend end. The weather here in Northern Ohio was stunning. High 70's/low 80's and hardly a cloud in the sky. Sigh, now its back to work...............

Sounds like your latch/motor that slides up and down might have moved on you. Whatever you did to permanently keep the latch/motor from moving, you might have to bring it up a little. Sounds like it's not catching?
