So happy after 18 years

I just have to post (because I'm so happy with the results) that after owning my GTA 5.7 after 18 years that it has never run better , has no problem spinning tires from a dead stop in fact i always let off right away because the tires are new , starts and runs dead on.
I have posted on here months ago the car wasn't running good and had some help (thank you) with trying to figure it out. I ended up taking the car to a local garage that works and inspects our cars.
I had installed a few new things like cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter ect... but the thing that I think change this car were the new injectors as the old ones were original from '89 with 53k on them ....... also car is all stock , I bought the car with 21k when it was 5 years old.
I have had the car for so long that I just accepted the performance it gave me but man after the little overhaul I just had no clue what I was missing all these years.
I know these cars can be a pain for some people but keep trying cause it's sure worth it when running.
I just wanted to share my love again for this car oh i did replace the factory spoiler with a fiberglass one.

Engines usually run best right before they blow. Just saying...

My car is on its 3rd.

I think this thread deserves more photos. I never get sick of looking at clean black GTAs! What color is the interior?

I'd like to hear the reasoning behind that.

That's like saying people usually are in the most top physical condition when they are about to keel over.

Thanks , it has the black leather , it's in good shape but the seats could be redone at some point.

Re: So happy after 18 years

That's great that she is still in such great shape, wish mine was. I've had mine for 16 years now, but she has started to have problems over the last year. Still runs ok and looks great, but needs serious work. It makes me sick too as my financial situation is not what it once was and the old Bird has had to take a back seat to everything else. She's a keeper though like yours and maybe one day I can return her to tip top shape. You have an awesome car and I love the black, nice going.

18 years is such a long time to own a car. I've had mine for 6 years and that feels like a long time haha. What's made you hold onto it for so long? Just curious...

Good luck with yours , hope one day it returns to its former glory , mine isn't perfect either and does need a few things , but its hard with other things in life coming first.

haha yeah 18 years does seem kinda long and there were times I wanted to part with it but I just couldn't see it in anybody else's hands but mine and as the years add up I feel stronger about that. I do really love this car and hope to own it for years come. I did buy a 78 black T/A a few years ago and thought I was going to fix it up but instead I'm just going to get rid of it and put more attention on the GTA.

6 years isn't that long so enjoy it and because time really goes by fast in life
