I am also not a fan of the moon roof, but for $1600 I couldn't be choosy. Happy with the car all in all though. Put 1.6 roller tip rockers on the car yesterday. Made a noticeable difference. Not a huge diffrence but you can feel it in the seat of your pants.

Re: 1991 Formula Firebird
Nice start. Keep the current hood. MUCH better than the dorky *** formula hood.

correct.
or an early 80's Trans Am hood would work too, wouldn't it?
not necessarilly. i've seen more without it than with it. mine doesnt have that.
that, and the sorry-***-lack-of-a-turbo-buldge-hood.
ALL FORMULAs came with the turbo hood. Someone swapped it out at some point.
Not a huge issue, find a good one and slap it on.
It should also have 5.7 liter decals on each side of the "turbo bulge" if it is a 350 car.
Good looking car, other than that moon roof.. Dear god, yyyyyyyy???? lol

Re: 1991 Formula Firebird
Rear Formula wing was busted, buying a standard old Firebird dual post wing Saturday from a group member. Its a slow process, but its coming along. Trying to land an LT1, transmission, engine computer, and 12 bolt rear end out of a Hearse, yes a Hearse. Should know if that's going to happen soon.

Formulas are the sleekest, sexiest looking Third Gens (my opinion). its bad enough (unacceptable IMO) that you have the wrong hood. If I were you, I would not further invest in a wrong spoiler. take away the Formula hood and the Formula spoiler, and visually, you've pretty much got a base model Firebird. not nearly as cool to look at.

[QUOTE=Linson;5700119] Yes, 82-4 T/A and 87-92 formula hoods are the same unless u have aluminum unit and then the only dif is material, aluminum hood even has the steel hood pt number.
87-90 formulas have the 350 calllout on the doors, 91-2 have 5.7 on the hood and just formula on the doors.
