Re: how to post pics
You need to have them hosted on a photo hosting site like Photobucket.com. Once you upload them to Photobucket, you can get a link to post them here.

Re: how to post pics
Once you create an account on Photobucket, click on the UPLOAD button.

Click a folder name (if you added one), then click CHOOSE YOUR PHOTO, and it will open a window showing the drives on your computer. Navigate to the photo you want to upload, and select it.

You'll get a page with an add to watch while it uploads to their site. There will be a status bar across the bottom. When it's uploaded, there will be a small thumbnail of your photo at the bottom of the page. Click on it. You will get a page that looks like this.

Put your cursor on the DIRECT box, and left click. The text in that box will disappear for a moment. It has now been copied to your clipboard.
Now, back to our forum. In your reply box, click on this yellow icon...

..and it will open a little window with http: already populating the line, highlighted in blue. Right click right on top of that blue highlighted text, and paste. This inserts the code you copied from Photobucket. Click OK. It's now pasted into your reply.

OR you can click the little tree icon when you're viewing the reply box:

That will automatically insert the "img" tags.

Re: how to post pics
At some point, yes. There is a limit to the amount of free space they will give you.
That said, I've been using it for over 10 years, have thousands of photos loaded there, and still have space to go within the free limit. For the casual user, you may never hit the limit.
FYI...you can setup folders within your library if you want to sort by topic, and you can also choose to make your folders private, so people cannot browse through your images. (linking to the photos from a site still works the same).
