Hi guys i am new here and i will be getting my first car at the age of 17 i have always wanted a muscle car as my first car and now i am getting one !! it is a 1986 Firebird Se with a 305 4 barrel carb 326 rear posi B&M shifter Flowmaster
exhaust it will be at my house next week end had to wait for the weather to clear damn snow.. i will post pics once it gets here any body got any tips for a new firebird owner ? glad to be here tho

yea i think they made like 2600 or something like that i can't wait till this weekend to go pick it up can't even image the face of the driver instructor when they see me pull up in that to get my license haha 1 more month then freedom !!

Welcome to TGO. You ask for tips, here's one. These cars are light in the hind end. If you're going to drive it in winter, get a few bags of sand and keep them in the rear well. 100# or more added to the rear make the traction much better. Have good winter tires on the rear. The sand can be used to spread under the rear tires when it gets stuck. Be careful and enjoy that low production number car.

that looks clean, Im sorry to rag on ya but why would you get that nice clean car just to go tearing it up in the snow,salt, slush??? Thats cool you always wanted one, but to have a play car you should always have a designated dd car . If not you will quickly find out your new play cool car aint so fun when you drive it everyday. Ask me how I know. Anyhow good luck be safe rear wheel drive , 50/50 wieght split, snow + posi equals trouble!

its winter time here i get my license in 3 months so by then it will be warmer out i have only driven it around my neighbourhood when there was no snow or ice on the roads and even tho its got a posi its still not that wild when you get on it the steering is very good all most no play in it and thanks every body for the nice comments
