Some recent pictures of my Formula!

I haven't posted in awhile ever since I got the car done so I thought I'd put some pictures up of it! The only things I have done to it since my last thread is 28 spline ten factory axles, new auburn posi unit, 3:73 gears, and a new PROM from tunedperformance. I just took the Gotti's off and put the winter wheels on.

Re: Some recent pictures of my Formula!

How is the Auburn posi working for you? Any issues? It's what I want to put into my car but others say to go Eaton? And how are the 3.73 gears?

So far it works great, it was brand new out of a 94 Z28 back in '94. Most people say they have had no problems with their auburn unit too. For the gears I went from a 2.73 to a 3.73 so its a night and day difference. The car is soooo much quicker, but the gas mileage got worse.

Re: Some recent pictures of my Formula!

Well that's cool. Since my car is not a daily driver, screw the gas mileage. LOL

Yea, I want that feeling of quick acceleration when I do take it out for the Sunday drives etc. Btw, how much do you think you lost in gas mileage just out of curiosity?

Re: Some recent pictures of my Formula!

I'm sure its a little better in the summer but I went from around 16mpg to 12mpg. It doesn't help that its about 20-30 degrees out right now. When I had 2.73's I was getting about 20 mpg on the highway in the summer.

Re: Some recent pictures of my Formula!

Well since you're fuel injected and I have a carb in mine you get better mileage. I average about 14-16 mpg city.

Looks good , the more I looked at it the more those wheels grew on me. Im a stickler for original wheels on these cars. Winter wheels?? I cringe thinking about it in all the snow an salt .

Theres a carwash not to far from me that has a sprayer than cleans off road salt and road grime under the car, I'm going to go there if I ever get caught driving in salt. Hopefully this is the only winter I will have to drive it in.
