Firebird Basics?

Hi, I just bought a 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA with the 5.7 Liter V8. My question here is which cars are the same build or model style so I can know when replacing parts and watching tutorials for replacing parts?

Re: Firebird Basics?

Welcome to the club young man. Generally the 1982 - 1992 Trans ams and Camaros share the same frame and mostly engines with some variations.

Re: Firebird Basics?

I'll just add that the Trans Ams & Z-28s have the stiffer suspensions, bigger sway-bars, quicker steering gear ratios, and more likely to have limited-slip differentials compared to the base models..
