The Project Begins.

Hello everyone, this post is gonna be me doing my best to document my build. For a little backstory, my car is a 1984 Firebird Trans Am, it has been in my family for 3 generations at this point, my grandma bought it used from a state secretary. then my dad drove it around and after he passed. before it was mine my uncle drove it and he wasn't the best of people to it, the old girl has seen many miles and a lot of hacked up wiring jobs, but anyway my goal with this build is to make it a fun yet streetable daily driver. I am only 18 so bear with me if it takes me time to get things done. as for this rambling on my part its over I'll cut to my build ideas.

I have a 4.8 LS motor complete with the brain box, unfortunately I was not able to get the wiring harness. my idea for this build is to manual swap it as well as upgrade the 4.8 to a 5.3. I will have pictures of the car itself later.

as for right now, I have to get back to studying

Here are a few pictures of the motor.

I paid $500 for it, maybe a little less pricey maybe not. I am not entirely sure

Re: The Project Begins.

Welcome. I have the 4.8 in my Silverado DD. I always thought it would be a good motor swap. it's got some get up and go in my truck. You could probably get a harness from a chevy truck from a scrapyard and adopt it into the TA. Looks like you need a TB also.
