I am restoring my 88 formula and will be doing the same paint scheme as it should have had back in the day. My car was repainted solid black at some point so I can not measure the formula stripes and two toned section along the bottom of the car. I would like to do custom colors and all the stripe kits are the stickers that only offer the orange silver and black, or the blue silver and charcoal. Does anyone know where I can get the measurements of the secondary color of the bottom and the actual measurements of the thickness and placement of the three colored stripes that run along it? There are absolutely no cars like this where I live so I can not get access to one.

 

I don't have exact measurements for the paint but my post 229 on this thread will give you an idea.

I can try to help you out with measurements from my 90 formula however this is tricky - the doors and between the wheel wells are simple stripes are 3 inches wide total, the top two smaller colors are .5 inches each, totaling 1 inch, the bottom color is 2 inches. on my car the top of the stripe is 6 1/2 inches below the bottom of the side body moulding. the front and rear are tricky because the stripes TAPER and the size is not consistent. at the fender it starts at about 2 3/8 inches wide. in all areas the two tone bottom paint goes to about the halfway point of the stripe.

 

So those stripes you just showed me don't match up with how the 88 stripes would look. They seem to be a wider stripe with a thin stripe and another wider stripe. But the secondary color seems to match size wise.

87-8 are same and 88-9 same, i forget that at times
