im restoring my white 87 formula 350. i have it painted and everything ready to go, but i cant find the stripes anywhere. if you guys know where to get the stripes besides all the websites on here and GM please let me know. or if you have an 87 white formula 350 with the orange, white and grey, stripes on the bottom please let me know the dimensions of the stripes so i could have them painted on. i really just want to buy the stripe kit, but i want the car to be original so i will paint it if i have to. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I deleted my stripes when I painted my yellow Formula. It had the same stripe combo.

I was looking in the parts and illustration catalog and some of the part numbers for the 87's are the same as the 88's and you can get the 88's here: http://www.stencilsandstripes.com/pr_pont_tran6.asp

BTY, I think the colors were orange, Silver and Black. Check your RPO sheet,

87 only
57A = Yellow Black Gold
72A = Orange Black Silver

87 & 88
27A = Blue Silver and Gunmetal
48A = Yellow Silver Black
71A = Orange Silver Black

I suspect you will have the 71A could be wrong tho.

my car is at a shop getting put back together after being painted so i do not have the rpo codes for it. im also a new firebird owner ive had a camaro for 2 years and i bought my firebird about 4 months ago. so where are my rpo codes gonna be located? thanks.

 

They should be in the center console if they have not been removed, or the console replaced...

IF your missing the RPO sheet, in some cases the dealer can make you a new one, but I think that only goes back to 1990. If no luck there then if your lucky enough to find your build sheet then it will be on there. First item on the far right collumn.

BTY, I stand corrected, my Yellow Formula came with the 48A Stickers

I've been looking for the Formula 350 stickers for the doors, but I have seen complete packages for sale. Just nothing I want on eBay!

I actually got OEM GM FORMULA decals for my cars, $10 each, I picked up an extra set just in case

I need the 350 version for mine...If I get to a position where it's road worthy again, however $10 sounds more then reasonable...got a source??

 

unfortunately no, I think he sold them all, I got them at a swap meet.
