What all tools do I need in order to take a complete TPI off of a 89 formula??
I need to take everything off that I would need inorder for it to work on my ZZ4 that I am going to get. Also where is the wiring harness for the TPI located??
Any help greatly appreciated!

Dude,
You can't put a TPI on the ZZ4. The Vortec Heads don't accept the TPI manifold.
Anyway. Get a set of torx wrenches. There are only two sizes of torx bolts on the whole setup. It comes apart real easy. The triangle thing that the throttle cable and TV cable ride on is a 10 mm socket. The fuel lines are a standard size wrench, but I can't recall what size.
!!!! Discharge the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail before you unhook the fuel lines!!!!
To remove: Take off all bolts holding it on

Actually your TPI will bolt up to a ZZ4. The ZZ4 has the aluminum L98 heads (like the Corvette) so the bolt pattern is the same. And as for the wire harness; you'll have to remove all of the sensors from the old motor and put them on the ZZ4 and attach the wire harness the same way.

Getting the plenum, runners, fuel rail and manifold off shouldn't take long at all. Like between a half hour and an hour.
As for your wiring harness, good luck. I really pity you if you try to do it on a car with an engine still installed.
I've only removed these things to swap engines into cars with TPI, not put TPI on otherwise equipped engines. Sorry

Just for the TPI you'll need a Torx T40 and a T50 (I think) for the intake bolts. Other than that, a strong flat blade screwdriver, a crow's foot distributor wrench, 10MM socket and open end wrench, and a T30 to remove the valve covers (makes it MUCH easier to get to the bottom bolts underneath the runners). Fuel line wrenches ( I do it with two crescent wrenches, lol). That's all I can think of...
