hello everyone, i new to the forum...i was told to come here and post a message about my problem. Well i have a 86 trans am 305 4bbl and auto. my fan locked up and shorted out ad my engine harness (wiring harness) caught on fire by the firewall on the driver side and melted some stuff. i was just gonna get another harness and splice...BUT i cant find a harness for it, ive looked in many junk yards and just cant find one. so i thought maybe...different engine time!! BUT where can i find a used complete engine out of a trans am with harness and all...need trans am harness cause of the pop up lights. i am going up to Carlisle this weekend to hopefully have some luck on either of the two. If Newport DE isn't too far to drive, there is a yard there that has tons of third gens. He is a little pricey but would definitely have it though.

 

You might want to PM or email Steve86TA, I know he has a few T/A motors and related parts around. He lives over in the annapolis area. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, what does the harnes involve wire wise, cause I ripped a lot of stuff out of mine, not sure if I still have useless stuff in there, maybe you could use, doubt it, but I'm about 45-1hr from you.
