Still just you and me Dennis?
I might see if some of my other friends want to come down. They don't drive third gens, but at least it would be some other cars to cruise with.
I busted a motor mount again, so I won't be running my car. However, I really want to see some racing!
Anybody heard good things about muscle mounts? This is the third time I've broken a regular mount....

Hey man, You looking to mod the '97 WS6? If so, I can hook you up. I work at an LS1 shop. We do everything. Your car ought to run mid 13's.

Dennis,
Still cool to meet tomorrow at the track for the TBI??
Also, if you want to consider this I can give ya the adapter plate that converts TBI to any four barrel carb. manifold that will fit your engine. This way you could have a much better selection of manifolds to choose from(and MUCH cheaper). I had the edelbrock performer intake which is pretty tall along with the adapter plate, TBI, and a K&N 9inch by 3 inch aircleaner on top and it fit with about 1/2 inch of clearance under the stock formula hood. Believe it or not the formula hood doesn't have any more usable clearance than the stock firebird hood because the bulge is only on one side.

In addition to everything else thats wrong with my car, my torque converter is going. Blah... :-(
I'm coming from Arnold (about 10 mins from Annapolis), so if you don't see me, give me an extra 10 mins, just in case. I'm leaving earlier than I need to, but still...I've only been to PF once. It was about an hour drive then, so I'm leaving a little before 4PM.
My cell phone # is (410)375-1506, just in case.
Going to go give my car a bath now!

Dennis, I didn't realize how bad traffic would be!! I didn't get down there until 5:40, and you guys weren't there anymore (not that I expected you to wait that long). My gf was with me, and we still wanted to see some racing, so we started heading out, but my torque converter is FUBAR.
There were sometimes when I couldn't make the car GO.
There is so much wrong with my car that I think I am going to have to take it off the road until summer
I have blown struts, a coolant leak, my exhaust manifold is shot, my motor mount(s) are broken, my steering is loose as a Vegas *****, I need body parts and paint, wiring done for a turn signal, wiring done for a horn, and I'll probably need an engine rebuild soon too (I'm at 130k, and they probably weren't easy miles). The torque converter is pretty much the last straw. It really won't be drivable soon.
It might be worth it to just wait and replace the engine with a 4 bolt 350, and get a new transy/rear then. I really don't know....
I'm pretty bummin' right now.
I AM sorry I missed you guys, I feel really bad for that. Next time let me get some of your cell #'s, if you have them. Also, I'll leave extra time, esp if its on a Friday!
Hope all of you had fun!

don't feel too bad Mark i had trouble getting back into the 15s friday night
for some odd ball reason my 3.42 open rear decided it wanted to spin both back tires and it left the line with terrible wheel hop????
i replaced the tranny mount friday morning and when it started hopping friday night i backed off the gas a bit to save the new mount don't know why its spinning both back tires now i don't want it to because it slowed my car down 6 tenths
