Another PA Dyno Tune day!!!!! See within!

Here's the skinny:

Location
Xotic Motorsports
999 Gap Newport Pike
Cochranville, PA 19330
www.xoticmotorsports.com

Date
Friday, July 2, 2004
This is subject to change somewhat, but the only other expected days would be June 18th or July 2nd. Right now plan on the 25th unless majority decides otherwise.

Tuners Schedule of Fees
Speed Density GM, EEC4 89-96 and EEC5 97-99 Mustangs
Alvin from PCM For Less will be doing the chips
# of cars ------ old customer ------ new customer
-----3---------------$275-----------------$300
-----4---------------$250-----------------$275
-----5---------------$200-----------------$250
-----7+-------------$175-----------------$225
97-99 EEC5 Mustang people need to check with Alvin first to make sure he's got the right setup.

94+ Trans Am, Camaro, and Corvette
Bryan from PCM For Less will be doing the tuning.
$200 for 94-97 LT1 vehicles
$300 for 98+ LS1 vehicles

The catch: If you're getting tuned by Alvin, you will need to pay a 50% fee up front since he will be driving up from North Carolina. If you don't show, DO NOT expect an automatic refund.

Alvin will also be collecting a $75 per vehicle fee in my name for the dyno time. This is to cover myself as I had to eat some money last time due to some no-shows. On the dyno day, you will either receive a refund or be asked for more funds for the dyno time. I will be evenly splitting the $600 fee among all those who pre-paid, and if money is due back you WILL get it back. As you can see I'm anticipating 8 vehicles, and if more show that's great, just makes everything cheaper. Also please note that I will not be profiting AT ALL from this. I'm organizing this because everyone knows it's next to impossible to get a chip equipped car dyno tuned.

I will be posting a link for the pre-payment items hopefully within a couple of days. If you're interested but don't know if you'll make it or be ready, just keep me posted. You'll be able to pre-pay up to the last minute most likely.

The following is the link to pre-pay, the higher prices include the dyno time fee: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/bherter/NEdynoday.html

Who's interested?!?!

Date has moved back one week to July 2nd. Still on a friday. Reason being is that it's dirt cheap for the dyno on a weekday.

According to Alvin, 86-93 cars are his specialty. He said as long as the third gens are FI. I KNOW he does your setup. You're running an L98 right? That's what he does. The L98's were all chip cars (I.E. Non-Reflashable) if I remember right.

Yeppirs, you are right on.

I e-mailed them AGAIN today. Hopefully the third time is the charm? I can't help but wonder if this is the way they normally operate? I am wondering from a support perspective, wether or not they are easy to contact and communicate with, so far, it does not look that way.

From what I can tell, it's $300-375, does that included reburns via e-mail for changes and such?

I am assuming they keep working with it until they get it right on the dyno day?

Sorry about all the questions, I just want to make sure I have this all square before I commit to anything.

Hmmm.....Alvin is usually VERY prompt with his emails. I don't know what his holdup could be. I just talked to him twice over the past couple of days. Normally he's very easy to reach. I noticed he hasn't been posting as much over on the speed density board though, so he may just be really busy.

The price "should" include the reburns as necessary, but I believe that's a case by case thing.

As for the dyno day, your car goes on the rollers and doesn't come off until it's done.

What's your email address?? I'll let Alvin know you're trying to get into touch with him........

I got an e-mail back from Alvin today, he mentioned that he has e-mailed me back a couple of times, so it looks like something is getting hung up between here and there.

Anyways he left a # so I will give him a ring with the questions. Thanks!!

Yeppirs, I am wrestling with doing the e-mail program or just dragging the car up to the dyno day. I am leaning on the latter, as some of these driveability issues are really starting to get on my last nerve, I can't seem to get it quite right.

Anyways, thanks! It's actually a dodge color, GTS blue pearlescent. (the car was originally "bright blue metallic") I was looking over paint chips at the paint supply shop, and saw a new viper on the paint guy's desk blotter, and said "that's the one!"

Yep, I should be there. :] Is the deposit due by a certain date? Also, are there enough cars commited to make sure it happens? I don't want to take the day off and this not happen.
