Went to the Mid-Atlantic Mega Meet last night and on the way home while sitting in traffic a semi-trailer drifted back into me. Didn't do a lot of damage (he didn't even know he did it). Had to wave him over to the side of the road and wait for the police. The driver didn't speak any English -- he was on the phone when I pulled along beside him, so I think he just wasn't paying attention.

He kept drifting back everytime we stopped, so I made sure I stayed a good car length and a half or more behind him -- but when he came drifting back I had nowhere to go, the car behind me was too close for me to back up -- I just put my foot on the brake and held it so he wouldn't drive me into that car. I was pretty happy he didn't just roll over top of me.

Anyway -- sad as it is, here's the pics.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Hopefully the trucker's insurance will cover it -- but I'm not counting on it. He says I hit him -- why would I hit him and then call the police? Who knows, maybe a new purple is in the works for Dark Shadow.

Looks like she'll be out of commission for a while after I find out what's going on with the insurance.

How was the mega meet last night my friend went down but he never got back to me on how it was. Hes a euro freak but i told him to check out any camaros for me.

 

Funny Steve, I saw a Camaro there that looked like yours -- thought maybe you were there, but never saw the driver. I went to the bathroom and when I came back there it was.

Ya i kinda stoped going because i had no interest in most the cars there. Last year my buddy called and said there was a white with red stripes RS, and over the phone i was asking him questions haha. That really sucks about ur car though hope you get it fixed...

Anyway i gotta run! going up to my old shop to cover the car in a bay...chance of HAIL. Clouds are almost BLACK outside...yikes.
