Just wanna know if anyone can help

Well guys I have been doing my exhaust for about 3 months now and I CANNOT get my y-pipe on. I need someones help that knows what they are doing or is confident they can get my Hedman y-pipe. I live in Waldorf MD and my zip code is 20601. I am 16 years old and tired of not being able to get the car on the road because of exhaust. I have about $50 to my name and I may have something laying around that somebody wants. If you can maybe help me than let me know. This stuff is getting depressing, thanks.

I have Headman shorty headers and Y-pipe on mine. The Y-pipe didn't quite mate up to the headers, but I think it was due to my aftermarket heads with raised exhaust ports. I ended up taking it to an exhaust shop where they did some cut and weld. let's avoid that route if you're short on $$$

a few questions:
are the headers and Y-pipe all same brand and intended to be used together?
is you engine stock?
what parts aren't mating up or what is interfering with it? (be specific)
have you called the manufacturer's tech line and discussed it with them?

hope I can help

Ok well its hedman headers and y-pipe and everything is stock really. I cant see anything in the way thats whats REALLY frustrating about it. I have no clue what is keeping it from lining up. I have to use all my strength to get the pass side to line up, then that makes the rest of the pipe crooked and doesnt let where the driver side socket and y pipe meet be clamped. Then if you do force the pass side up, only 2 of the 3 bolts are possible to do anyway.

one technique that sometimes works is to loosen up, but don't completely remove, all your exhaust component bolts including where the headers bolt to the engine. with everything loose, you should have enough play to get all bolts lined up and then after you get them all started, go around tighten the bolts up a little at a time. this method is slow but it just might get every thing to line up. you said on one side you're getting 2 out of 3 bolts to line up, so it sounds like you're close.

give it a try. if it doesn't work or you've already tried it. we'll figure it out somehow.
