Let me know if you got one. The tpi tv cable isnt working quite right with the new setup.

 

You have to adjust it, by sliding it back and forth, is it shifting late or early.

 

um, i know how to adjust a tv cable. tpi cable doesnt work on carb, period. i already started a thread on this in the tranny section. i even got the geometry corrector and it still didnt work.

 

SOrry wasnt aware that it was TPI. I think its like 20 bucks for the replacement one at ADvanced, get one for a 1988 tbi 305 thats what I am using. or try a junk yard,

 

i didnt know that you could get them at advanced. and also, isnt there 3 different cables for tbi tpi and carb...thats what i heard. anyways i guess ill try to get one for a 305 carb car from 86. thanks.

 

Just judging about how long the cables are...TPI throttle body is a lot further out then TBI or carb obviously. So id think the TBI cable would work its got to be about the same size as carb.

Just hit up a JY for a 305 TBI cable and try it out, or local auto parts store or the GM dealer...

 

got a new one at advanced yesterday. 15 bucks. shorter than the tbi cable i have laying around.
