IROC Update

I've been working stripping down the interior of my IROC. I've gotten everything but the top of the back seat, console, and carpet out. One of the Driver's seat mounting brackets was broken. The girl I got if from drove it like that so long that it weakened the metal on the mount point on the floor board. When I tried to take the nut off it took the whole stud out. I'll have my dad weld the bracket up and then we'll weld in a new stud back into the body.

I took out my gauge cluster. The only gauges that are any good are the oil pressure, fuel, temp, and volt. I plan on replacing them with Autometer Cobalt Gauges. Silver face, blue glow through the face, it should match my car pretty well (blue/silver.)

Going to add SFC's while the carpet is out. Taking the interior out first and putting it back in last. I got the T-top bar from the local salvage yard for 20 bucks. It's in pretty good shape. No major rust. I've seen them, in much worst condition, go on ebay for more than 50 bucks.

I'm going to replace a lot of parts on the interior. Carpet, gauges, Door panels, headliner, all weather seals. I'm sure some more that I can't think of right now.

I'm going to use the factory dash bezel for the new gauges. So I'll have to get a Single A pillar pod. I'll keep the speedo, tach, fuel, oil, and temp on the dash. I'll put the Volt gauge in the pod. Of all the gauges I think the voltage is the least important. If my alternator goes bad, my car cuts off. If my oil pressure drops, my engine goes. What's more important to you?

Still have to get a driver's door. Have to take the hatch, hood, and passenger side fender off for rust removal. I told the body man I may bring it to him in pieces so he can paint everything. It should save me some dough.
